AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 -2 -1, TRAFFIC SCHEDULES,
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, IL
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have enacted
Ordinance G -642, being an ordinance regulating traffic within the Village of Oak Brook, which ordinance
from time to time has been amended; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village deem it advisable and in the best
interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village that said Ordinance G -642
be further amended to require that westbound traffic from Briarwood Lakes yield to Regent Drive traffic
and U -tums be prohibited at eastbound 16`" Street between Illinois Route 83 and the Oakbrook Center
entrance road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
- Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Schedule V, Yield Streets, of Section 7 -2 -1 of the Village Code of the Village of
Oak Brook is hereby amended by adding the following:
"SCHEDULE V, YIELD STREETS
Briarwood Lakes, Westbound Regent Drive"
Section 3: That Schedule X, U- Turns, of Section 7 -2 -1 of the Village Code of the Village
of Oak Brook is hereby amended by adding the following:
"SCHEDULE X, U -TURNS
It shall be unlawful for the operator of any motor vehicle to make a U -turn as follows:
16'" Street, Eastbound, between Illinois Route 83 and Oakbrook Center Entrance Road"
Section 4: That the Public Works Director is hereby authorized and directed to post a "Yield"
sign on westbound Briarwood Lakes at Regent Drive and a "No U- Turn" sign at eastbound 16'" Street at
Route 83.
Section 5% That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law.
Section 6: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this ordinance in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.

Section 7: That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
