S-1001 - 09/11/2001 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - OrdinancesORDINANCE 2001 -PP -S -1001 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to invite bids for the purchase of certain personal property; (1) File Cabinet: slide top (1) File Cabinet: standard 2 drawer (2) File Cabinet- standard 4 drawer (1) IBM Typewriter (1) Fax Machine WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the personal property described above now owned by the Village; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows - Section 1: Pursuant to Section 11 -76 -4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Chapter 65, III.Comp.Stat., 5/11 -76 -4, the corporate authorities find that the aforementioned personal property is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale. Section 2: Pursuant to said Section 11 -76 -4, the Village Manager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to solicit bids for the purchase of the aforesaid items and if no bids are received for any items of personal property, to dispose of these items Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
