S-1053 - 09/23/2003 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - OrdinancesORDINANCE 2003 -PP -S- 1053 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook (hereinafter the "Village ") has taken title to the below listed vehicles pursuant to court order and the seizure and forfeiture provisions of the Illinois Criminal Code (see 720 ILCS 5/36 -1 and following sections), and WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village to retain the below described vehicles which are surplus personal property now owned by the Village, and WHEREAS, the Village wishes to auction said vehicles over the internet or other auction service, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows Section 1 That the foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as findings of the corporate authorities Section 2 That pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees find that the following described vehicles.
