AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 -2 -1, TRAFFIC SCHEDULES,
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook has heretofore
enacted and amended Title 7 of the Village Code relating to regulation of traffic within the Village, and
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has investigated and determined that the speed limit for
Madison Street, throughout its entire length, should be reduced to 25 miles per hour, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village deem it advisable and in the best
interests of the Village that the speed limit on Madison Street be reduced, per the Village Engineer's
recommendation, from 30 mph to 25 mph
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows
Section 1 That Section 7 -2 -1 of the Village Code is hereby amended by deleting from
SCHEDULE I, ALTERED MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS, the line beginning with the words "Madison Street ",
without replacement, so that the 25 mile per hour speed limit would apply to Madison Street, throughout its
entire length within the Village
Section 2 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law
Section 3 That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict
