AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it
is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the
aforedescribed personal property now owned by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to auction said personal property over the internet or
other auction service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook find that the following described personal property:
One 1981 Rolls Royce Convertible; 4 -Door; White; VIN No. SCAYD42AIBCX01563; with
approximately 37,375 miles,
now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and
the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale.
Section 2: Pursuant to said 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the Village Manager be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to sell the aforesaid personal property, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, to
the highest bidder above the reserve price of $35,000 by auction over the internet or other auction service.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at
least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
