ORDINANCE 2004 -PL -G -768
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1 (ADMINISTRATION)
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WITH RESPECT TO THE RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND
AUTHORITY OF THE VILLAGE MANAGER
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have determined that it is
necessary to limit certain responsibilities, duties and authority of the Village Manager
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
as follows
Section 1 Section 1 -5A -4 (PURCHASING AUTHORITY) — Sub - section B shall be
amended by deleting the words and numbers "ten thousand dollars ($10,000 00)" where they
appear therein and replacing the same with the words and numbers "five thousand dollars
($5,000 00)"
Section 2 Section 1 -7 -3 (COMMODITIES, SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT UP TO AND INCLUDING TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS) shall be amended by
deleting the words and numbers "ten thousand dollars ($10,000 00)" where they appear therein
and replacing the same with the words and numbers "five thousand dollars ($5,000 00)"
Section 3 Section 1 -7 -5 (CHANGE ORDERS) shall be amended by deleting the words
and numbers "ten thousand dollars ($10,000 00)" where they appear therein and replacing the
same with the words and numbers "five thousand dollars ($5,000 00)"
Section 4 Section 1 -7 -7 (SOLE SOURCE CONTRACTS) shall be amended by deleting
the words and numbers "ten thousand dollars ($10,000 00)" where they appear therein and
replacing the same with the words and numbers "five thousand dollars ($5,000 00)"
Section 5 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as required by law
Section 6 All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance
be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict
