AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT ALL DIRECT AND
INDIRECT COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH LITIGATION INSTITUTED
AMONGST THE CORPORATE AUTHORITIES BE TRACKED
AS A LINE ITEM FROM THE DATE OF THE INITIATION
OF THE LITIGATION UNTIL ITS TERMINATION
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees believe that, when a matter is being
litigated amongst the Corporate Authorities, it is in the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook that the
costs, both direct and indirect, associated with said litigation be tracked,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois as follows
Section 1 All costs, both direct and indirect, associated with litigation amongst the
Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook shall be tracked as a separate line item from the
inception of said litigation through its termination
Section 2 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflict
Section 3 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law
