Notice that the plans have been revised to include left turn bays at 16th Street as per your earlier request. Please supply this office with a resolution approving the plans, an ordinance prohibiting parking within the limits of the improvement and an ordinance prohibiting the discharge of sanitary sewage or industrial waste water into any storm sewers constructed by the State within the limits of the Village of Oak Brook. Action on this matter at the next meeting of the Village Board is requested since this improvement is scheduled for a January 23, 1971 letting. Yours very truly, Sigmund C. Grade Separation Gentlemen: The Division of Highways has requested your approval of the plans for that portion of the Route 83 Butterfield Road grade separation job Located within the Village Limits of Oak Brook. This work consists of widening Route 83 North from the North Service Drive to the Shopping Center, improving the L6th Street intersection, installing new traffic signals there and constructing service drives North from 16th Street. I recommend your approval of the plans subject to their being revised to provide for connecting Ernie Pyle Drive (LSth Street) to the East Service Drive and providing for a turnaround at the North end of the West Service Drive. I would also suggest that the approval include a recommendation that provision be made for future inter- connection and synchronization of the traffic signals at L6th Street with those signals South of the intersection through 22nd Street. Copy of Ordinance G-35 . This prohibits the discharge of any type of sewage into drainage structures installed. for the purposes of discharging and, carrying surface water. Village Attorney John Teschner has been directed. by copy of this letter to amend. Exhibit H of the Oak Brook Traffic Ordinance of 1968 to provide that all parking will be prohibited on Route 83 within the Corporate limits of the Village of Oak Brook. Teschner VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK 1200 OAK BROOK ROAD OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS January 7, 1971 654-2220 MEMO TO: President and Board of Trustees SUBJECT: No Parking Ordinance Route 83 Gentlemen: On November 24th, 1970, the president and board of trustees approved, with minor modifications , the plans of the Illinois Division of Highways for interchange improvements at Roosevelt Road and Butterfield Road. The Division of Highways has also requested that the Village of Oak Brook amend its Traffic Ordinance of 1968 so as to prohibit parking along the right-of-way of Route 83 as it extends through the village. A copy of the ordinance proposed is attached herewith. Although we have not experienced any problem with respect to parking along the right-of-way, local prohibition of parking is required by the Division of Highways since Route 83 has been designated as a limited access road.
