RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to approve Ordinance 2008 -PW +SWM- FEE -G -852 which
amends Titles 8 and 9 of the Municipal Code regarding
Engineering Plan Review Fees.
Background/History:
At the December 11, 2007 meeting, the Village Attorney was directed to prepare the ordinance
granting approval of amendments to Titles 8 and 9 of the Village Code which updates the fee
schedule.
Accordingly, the Attorney has prepared Ordinance 2008 -PW +SWM- FEE -G -852 which amends
Titles 8 and 9 of the Village Code.
Recommendation:
Approve Ordinance 2008 -PW +SWM- FEE -G -852.

ORDINANCE 2008- PW +SWM- FEE -G -852
AN ORDINANCE REVISING PLAN REVIEW
FEES AND AMENDING SECTIONS 8 -5 -2 AND 9 -7 -8
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have determined that it is necessary to increase
the current building permit fee schedule in order to defray the Village's increased costs relative to the
issuance of building permits and to protect the public health, safety and welfare
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows
Section 1 The foregoing preamble is restated and incorporated herein by reference as though
fully set forth herein
Section 2 Section 8 -5 -2A1 of the Village Code is hereby amended to read as follows
Plan Review Actual hours of review multiplied by Fifty -three dollars ($53 00) per hour
Minimum fee Fifty -three dollars ($53 00)
In addition to the above fees, all applicants shall reimburse the village for any outside
consulting review charges within thirty (30) days of the date the village seeks reimbursement
for such charges
Section 2 Section 9 -7 -8A of the Village Code is hereby amended to read as follows
A Plan Review Actual hours of review multiplied by Fifty three dollars ($53 00) per hour
Minimum Fee Fifty three dollars ($53 00)
In addition to the above fees, all applicants shall reimburse the village for any outside
consulting review charges within thirty (30) days of the date the village seeks reimbursement
for such charges
Section 3 If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid,
the invalidity thereof shall not effect any of the other provisions of this ordinance
Section 4 All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict
Section 5 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law
