SUBJECT: An Amendment to Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8A of the Village Code of the Village
of Oak Brook, Illinois Relative to the Number of Authorized Liquor Licenses

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move for passage of Ordinance 2004- LC- AL -G -, "An
Ordinance Amending Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8A of the Village Code of the Village of
Oak Brook, Illinois Relative to the Number of Authorized Liquor Licenses"
Background/History:
Mediterranean Partners, Inc. has made application to the Village for a Class A -3 liquor license
for their new restaurant, York Tavern, located at 3702 York Road. Documentation requirements
have been fulfilled and approved by the Village Attorney. A criminal background check is being
processed at this time of the owner and Liquor Manager. Their Liquor Manager, Pasquale
Moreci will be attending the Village's BASSET training session on Monday, March 8, 2004 as
required by Village Code.
The applicant has requested that this application be brought before you for your consideration at
your regular meeting of March 9, 2004. A representative of the establishment will be in
attendance at the Village Board meeting. Enclosed for your review is the following
documentation:

b. Floor Plan
c. Certificate of Insurance

Recommendation:
The Village Attorney has drafted the attached ordinance that increases the number of A -3 liquor
licenses by one. Provided that all ordinance requirements are met, the Local Liquor
Commissioner Kevin Quinlan would presumbly issue a class A -3 liquor license to Mediterranean
Partners, Inc. d/b /a York Tavern, 3702 York Road.

Authorized Liquor Licenses." ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: 5 - Trustees Aktipis, Craig, Konn, Miologos and Yusuf
Nays: 0 - None.
Absent: 1 - Trustee Caleel. Motion carried.
C. AWARD OF CONTRACTS
1) 2004 PAVING PROJECT
Eight sealed bids were opened on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 The bid
submitted by James D. Fiala Paving Co., in the amount of $926,645 80 is
approximately 19% lower than the Engineer's estimate of $1,149,259.00.
