Ordinance #2001- ZO -SU -S -987, An Ordinance Amending Ordinance
S -729 and S -919 and Grants an Amended Special Use Permit, wil
allow additions to the church building including two new nurtur
rooms, an audio - visual center, an expanded kitchen and a new pre
school atrium. The conditions and restrictions are set forth in Section
of the special use permit ordinance. The proposed 30 -space parkin;
facility is specifically excluded.
Motion by Trustee Savino, seconded by Trustee Kenny, to approve

WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has petitioned for a Flood Plain Special Use under
9 -1 -8 of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook, relating to flood plain and wetland regulatii

WHEREAS, a public hearing on such petition has been conducted by the Zoning Board
Appeals of the Village on February 6, 2001, pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Oak Brook has submitted its recom
to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the President and Board of Trustees; and

WHEREAS, the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals have recommended approval of
the petition since the proposed use is consistent with the best use of the flood plain; and
WHEREAS, the proposed use satisfies the requirements of and is consistent with each of the
factors set forth in Section 9 -1 -8 of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook deem the passage of t is
Ordinance to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2 Pursuant to Section 9 -1 -8 of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook, IL, I a flood
plain special use is hereby granted to allow roadway and drainage construction improvements o I the
property commonly known as Timber Trail Subdivision, Oak Brook, IL, as described in the engineering
plans for the improvements contemplated for the 2001 Paving and Drainage Project, said plans prepared
by James J. Benes and Associates, Inc. and entitled 2001 Paving and Drainage Project, which plans are
not attached hereto, but are within the official files of the Village.
Section 3 That this Ordinance is limited and restricted to the property generally described as the
Timber Trails Subdivision area located along Salt Creek, east of Spring Road, north of Harger Road and
legally described as follows
The rights -of -way of the following subdivisions: Timber Trails Estates Unit 1 recorded as
Document No 508928, Timber Trails Estates Unit 2 recorded as Document No 533982,; Timber
Trails Estates Annex recorded as Document No 601607, Lake Doran Estates recorded as
Document No. 678192; Merry Lane Subdivision recorded as Document No. R64-0467911,
Gruner's Division recorded as Document No R65- 027892; Felber's Subdivision recorded as
Document No R83- 079449, and Timber Trails Assessment Plat recorded as Document No R90-
158910, all within the East half of Section 23, Township 39 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, DuPage County, IL
