Back�round/Ilistorv: The attached ordinance authorizes the sale of office furniture and equipment from various departments, and shop supplies from the Public Works department that have reached the end of their useful life or have been replaced with newer models. Department Directors were notified that these items were available but none had use for them in their departments. The Village will first contact used furniture resellers and notify them of the furritiure available. Staff will register the shop supply items with an online auctioneer run by the State of Illinois, known as iBid. If no bids are received through furniture resellers or the online auction, items will be disposed of. Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Village Board adopt the attached ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus items.
