RECOMMENDED MOTION: I Move For Passage Of Ordinance S -1237, An Ordinance
Amending Ordinance S -1165 Relative to the Personnel Manual of the Village of Oak
Brook, Illinois
Background /History: /History:
I have been directed to prepare the attached Ordinance which amends Ordinance S -1165, passed
by the Board of Trustees on June 27, 2006 which delineated revisions to the health and dental
policies for Village employees. Although it is not required to revise these policies by ordinance,
it is necessary to amend Ordinance S -1165 and rescind the language contained therein.
Recommendation:
I recommend that this Ordinance be passed.
ORDINANCE 2008- PL -RR -S -1237
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE S -1165 RELATIVE TO
THE PERSONNEL MANUAL OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have heretofore
adopted the Village of Oak Brook Personnel Manual, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said Personnel Manual be amended
WHEREAS, it is further deemed no longer necessary to amend said Personnel Manual by
Ordinance
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows
Section 1 The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though
fully set forth herein
Section 2 That the language contained in Ordinance 2006- PL -RR -S -1165, approved and passed
by the President and Board of Trustees on June 27, 2006, in relation to Article V, Section 5 12A of the
Personnel Manual of the Village of Oak Brook, be and is hereby rescinded
Section 3 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflict
Section 4 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law
