Martin, Library Director SUBJECT: Minor corrections to the Collection Management Policy The Village Board authorized the Village Attorney to prepare the ordinance to adopt the latest revision of the Collection Management Policy at its June 12, 2001 meeting. At that time President Bushy noted that there were a few clarifications that could be made, all helpful, non( creating a substantive change. The changes made are listed below. Page 4, Section V, ¶C, First Paragraph, Last Sentence: FROM: Duplicates will be removed when demand ceases to free shelf ... Page 12, First Paragraph This first paragraph is now split into the first and third paragraphs. i (in) it. Complete first paragraph: "The Oak Brook Public Library recognizes that individuals may at times have complaints regarding materials added to the collection or lacking from the collection." The second paragraph remains. The remainder of the former first paragraph is now the third paragraph. "A request for purcl ase . . The result of this change is that paragraph one acknowledges complaints regarding addition, omissions from the Library collections. Motion by Trustee Korin, seconded by Trustee Savino, to approve Ordinance #2001- LY -EXl -S -995, "An Ordinance Adopting the Third Comprehensive Amendment to the Collection Management Policy for the Oak Brook Free Public Library", as presented and waive the full reading of ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes: 4 - Trustees Butler, Craig, Konn and Savino.
