G-700 - 07/09/2002 - EMS - Ordinances Supporting DocumentsG of 0Ak VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK O y d Village Board Transmittal Memorandum COUNT`1 DATE: July 5, 2002 SUBJECT: Ambulance Fees FROM: Darrell Langlois 9 Recommendation: That the Village Board approve the attached ordinance which decreases the fee for an ambulance transport to $300 for residents, increases the fee for an ambulance transport to $500 for non - residents, and implements a mileage charge of $5.47 per mile. Based on the direction given at the Committee -of -the Whole meeting on June 24, 2002, the attached ordinance implements "Option 3" as was presented in my June 20,2002 memorandum. This option provides for differing resident/ non - resident rates ($300/$500 respectively) and also provides for a mileage charge of $5.47 per mile assessed from the point of pickup to the hospital. At the present time we will not differentiate charges between BLS, ALS 1, and ALS2 until the Medicare rates for any of these levels of service exceed the new $300 rate. Once this occurs appropriate revisions in the rate will be recommended. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need further information. ambulanceordcover doc aj vE pF Oq,f\ P d j 1 0 G O 0auNTy .
