RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move for passage of Ordinance G-839, An Ordinance
Amending Section 7 -1 -1320 (Parking Fines) of Chapter 1 (Traffic Code) of Title 7 (Motor
Vehicles and Traffic) of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois
Background/History:
Per action taken by the President and Board of Trustees at their June 12, 2007 Regular Board
Meeting, attached is an Ordinance which deletes Section 7 -1 -1320 (Parking Fines) in its entirety
and increases the amount of parking fines In relation to the number of citations received by the
same violator. Violations such as parking in a handicapped area are controlled by Illinois State
Statutes, and therefore will not increase.
Recommendation:
I recommend that this Ordinance be passed.
