G-733 - 11/11/2003 - TEXT AMENDMENT - Ordinances Supporting DocumentsPGE pF OgkB9 VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK o Village Board Transmittal Memorandum l 00 DATE: November 6, 2003 SUBJECT: Natural Ground Level Definition Text Amendment and Structure Height Amendment FROM: Kenneth T. Kubiesa, Village Attorney RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Trustees adopt this Ordinance concerning natural ground level and structure height limitations. Pursuant to your direction and our discussions with Staff, we have revised the Zoning Ordinance to clarify how structure height is measured and natural ground level is defined. The structure height limitation language was further modified from the original draft to exempt from that structure height limitation in residential zones only those structures that are appropriate to be allowed to go 15 feet higher (like chimneys). This should solve the issue that Trustee Korin raised at the earlier Board meeting when this matter first came before the Board.
