Crotty, Acting Village Manager Y�V/- RECOMMENDATION: That the Village Board approve a resolution adopting the 2003 Fair Labor Standards Act Policy which lists those positions considered exempt from the wage and hour provisions of the Act. That the Village Board adopt an ordinance amending Article IV, Section 3 B 1 and Article VI, Section 6 C 1 of the Village of Oak Brook Personnel Manual to reflect the re- titling of the Fire Captain position to Battalion Chief. The 2003 Salary Plan includes the re- titling of the Fire Captain position to Battalion Chief Because this is a position considered exempt from the wage and hour provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, it is necessary to re -adopt the Village's Fair Labor Standards Act Policy to incorporate the Battalion Chief position among the other exempt positions. It is also necessary to amend the Personnel Manual incorporating the new title in the appropriate places. /mac FLSA 2003 8 B. 3) Ayes: 6 - Trustees Aktipis, Caleel, Craig, Korin, Miologos and Savino Nays: 0 - None. VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK Minutes Page 9 of 17 December 10, 2002 ORD 02- PL -RR -S- 1031 ANIND ARTCLS IV & VI OF PERS MAN ORDINANCE 2002- PL -RR -S -1031 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES IV AND VI OF THE PERSONNEL MANUAL OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have heretofore adopted the Village of Oak Brook Personnel Manual, and WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said Personnel Manual be amended, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows Section 1 That Article IV, Section 3 B.1. of the Personnel Manual of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows.
