SUBJECT: Surplus Property

BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: N/A
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board adopt the attached
ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus items.
Background/History:
The attached ordinance authorizes the sale of file cabinets from the Bath and Tennis
Clubhouse and Library, and printers, monitors, computers, and various miscellaneous
equipment from the IT Division that have reached the end of their useful life or have been
replaced with newer models.
The Village will register these items with iBid, an online auctioneer run by the State of
Illinois. If no bids are received through the online auction, any remaining items will then
be disposed of properly.
Hard drives and operating systems on the computers have been removed and disposed of
separately.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the Village Board adopt the attached ordinance authorizing the
sale of surplus items.
