SUBJECT: Sports Core Ordinance Amendment

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board approve Ordinance,
2017-SC-G- 1102 An Ordinance Amending Chapters 1,2,and 3 of Title 12
Entitled,"Recreational Facilities" of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois.
Backsround/History:
After the input at the Sports Core meeting of March 21St and the Board discussion at the
March 28th Village Board meeting, it was decided to amend the Sports Core Ordinance to
reflect the name "Bath and Tennis"once again in the ordinance.
Recommendation:
The Village Board approves the amendments to the Sports Core Ordinance 2017-SC-G-
1102.

ORDINANCE 2017-SC-G-1102
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 1,2 AND 3 OF TITLE 12,
ENTITLED, "RECREATIONAL FACILITIES"OF THE VILLAGE CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees (Board) have recommended amending
Title 12, entitled "Recreational Facilities", of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook;and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable and in the best interest and in the furtherance of the
general welfare of the citizens of the Village that the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook be
amended to change the name of the Swim and Tennis Club back to the Bath and Tennis Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Title 12, Recreational Facilities, shall be amended by deleting the phrase"Swim
and Tennis"wherever it appears therein and replacing same with the phrase, "Bath and Tennis".
Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflict.
Section 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law.
