RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, LINDA K. GONNELLA has selflessly donated her time and talents to the Village of
Oak Brook in her capacity as Secretary for the Commercial Revitalization Task Force (2007-2011), the
Streetscape and Commercial Revitalization Committees (2011-2017); and
WHEREAS, she has previously served as Village Clerk from 1989-2007 and acted as Pension
Clerk for both the Firefighters Pension Fund Board and the Police Pension Fund; and
WHEREAS, during her service on the Commercial Revitalization Task Force, she was a part of
the goal to encourage new businesses and patrons to Oak Brook, involved in the PUD Ordinance and the
directional gateway signage plans; and
WHEREAS, while serving on the Streetscape and Commercial Revitalization Committees, LINDA
K. GONNELLA was involved in several median beautification and pedestrian access projects; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such
steadfast service should be made and spread upon the records of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that LINDA K. GONNELLA is hereby commended for her loyalty to the Village of Oak Brook
and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of the Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to LINDA K. GONNELLA for her civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to LINDA
K. GONNELLA and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of the Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 13th day of June, 2017.
