SUBJECT: Exhibit and Special Acquisitions Policy

BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board approve and pass
Ordinance S-1520, an ordinance combining the Exhibits and Displays Policy and the
Special Acquisitions Policy to create the Exhibit and Special Acquisitions Policy.
Background/History:
Both the Exhibits and Displays Policy and the Special Acquisitions Policy are reviewed
and/or revised as needed by the Head Librarian and Library Commission. They were most
recently reviewed on November 21,2017.The Library Commission voted unanimously on
November 21, 2017 to combine the two policies into one policy. This streamlines the
Library's operations and makes things clearer for the patron.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the Village Board approve this Ordinance S-1520, an ordinance
adopting the combining and revision of the Exhibits and Displays Policy and the Special
Acquisitions Policy to create the Exhibit and Special Acquisitions Policy.
