RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, PATRICIA BELLOCK has served her constituents in Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Elmhurst and
surrounding areas in many capacities, including as a Member of the DuPage County Board and as our 47th District
Representative to the Illinois State House of Representatives from 1999 to present, and at every point in her public
service has made and sustained an extraordinary record of competence, compassion and achievement; and
WHEREAS, on the occasion of her announcement of her retirement from the Illinois legislature, we
recognize her achievements and salute her efforts to bring discipline to our State's refractory budget and spending
policies; to navigate successful implementation of our Amber Alert system; and to develop bipartisan health care
delivery system and financing solutions for the children and families of Illinois most vulnerable to sickness and most
in need of quality medical care; and
WHEREAS, by her exemplary conduct and inspiring service, PATRICIA BELLOCK has given us a true
compass we may rely upon for the conduct of our own lives of service and efforts devoted to the residents, visitors
and business community of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, for all of these things, the President and Board of Trustees express their deep appreciation to
PATRICIA BELLOCK, and declare that her faithful service should be recognized and spread upon the records of
the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook that PATRICIA BELLOCK be and is hereby commended for her faithful service to the residents and the
Village of Oak Brook, our surrounding communities, and our State.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for
and on behalf of the Village and its citizens, do hereby offer to PATRICIA BELLOCK the Key to our Village, as a
token of our appreciation and to denote her esteemed status and perpetual privileges as an Honorary Citizen of
Oak Brook.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to PATRICIA
BELLOCK and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of the Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 12th day of December, 2017.
