RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, in 2013 the Sports Core Long Range Planning Committee("Committee")was formed
and comprised of pertinent Village Staff and informed residents; and
WHEREAS,the purpose of this Committee was to make recommendations to the Village Board for
the betterment of the Sports Core, to bring the Bath & Tennis Club back into being a revenue generator,
and to assess the long term needs of the Sports Core; and
WHEREAS, between 2013 and 2017, the members of the Committee participated in many
discussions regarding Sports Core memberships, facility management/operations of the Bath & Tennis
Club, Capital Improvements to the Sports Core, marketing the amenities, and developing a master plan
going forward; and
WHEREAS, the Committee members were instrumental in exploring strategies for improvements
to both the Golf Club and the Bath & Tennis Club, as well as potential partnership opportunities with the
Oak Brook Park District; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook desire to recognize
the following residents for their participation on this important Committee:
DON ADLER,JOHN BAAR, ROBERT BARBER, KAREN BUSHY, JIM CARSON,
PHIL CUEVAS, SHARON KNITTER,ANGIE LOPEZ, KATHY MANOFSKY,
MIKE MANZO, KATHY MAREK, FRANK TROMBETTA, DEEPAK UPPAL
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the above-mentioned individuals be and are hereby commended for their loyal service to
the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude to these
individuals for their civic service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to these
individuals and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 9th day of January, 2018.
