RESOLUTION OF MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, RONALD MAHER, a long-time Oak Brook resident, passed away on September 3, 2018;
and
WHEREAS, RONALD MAHER served the Village of Oak Brook in his capacity as a member of the
Board of Trustees from May, 1983 through April, 1991; and
WHEREAS, RONALD MAHER served his community in many other ways including, former member
of the Oak Brook Library Association, the Oak Brook Historical Society, Oak Brook Music Boosters, Ben Fuller
Society, Graue Mill Association, the Oak Brook Caucus and most recently the Oak Brook Electric Aggregation
and Issues Committee; and
WHEREAS, RONALD MAHER served with dedication and distinction on behalf of the Village of Oak
Brook and its residents; and
WHEREAS, RONALD MAHER in his professional years served as the President of Maher Lumber
Company and was instrumental in bringing Ace Hardware to Maher Lumber, served on several of Ace Dealers
Committees, was past President of Lumber Trade Association, and served on the Board of Directors for the
Illinois Lumber and Material Dealers Association; and
WHEREAS, RONALD MAHER exemplified his strong faith-centered life in service of over 50 years in
many leadership capacities with his church, Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook that RONALD MAHER be and is hereby remembered for his shared talents and energy, and will be
missed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their sympathy and gratitude to the family
of RONALD MAHER.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the family of
RONALD MAHER and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 11th day of SEPTEMBER, 2018.
