RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Donna Bettin has been employed with the Village of Oak Brook, as Executive
Secretary from July 2005, through May, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Donna Bettin has consistently displayed the highest degree of integrity and expertise
in her administrative support to the Village Manager and the Village Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, her friendliness, sense of teamwork, along with her trouble-shooting abilities, served
the Village well in handling the concerns of the Oak Brook residents; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure with the Village Donna Bettin was involved in numerous
committees, including, but not limited to: the Hotel, Convention & Visitors Bureau, Community
Enhancement Committee, Sports Core Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Donna Bettin was very active in working with both the Polo Committee members in
organizing the summer polo matches, and with the organizers, vendors and donors of the Taste of Oak
Brook/Independence Day fireworks; and
WHEREAS, countless retirement parties and other employee and Board of Trustees' events over
the 14 years were tirelessly scheduled and organized by her; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook on behalf of all the Village employees and all the Village residents, that they do hereby extend
their sincerest thanks and gratitude to Donna Bettin for her many years of indefatigable and loyal service
as well as for the example which she set for all those who came in contact with her.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be presented to Donna Bettin with best wishes
for continued success in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
Donna Bettin and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 28th day of May, 2019.
