Police Arrest Subject with Fully loaded Handgun and drugs
During Traffic Stop
On July 28, 2019 at approximately 12:32 AM, an Oak Brook Police Officer was conducting
stationary radar enforcement on 22nd St. at Tower Dr. when he observed a Kia sedan traveling
60MPH in a 40MPH Zone on eastbound 22nd St. The officer initiated a traffic stop near 22nd St
and Midwest Rd. Upon making contact with the driver the officer immediately detected an
odor of cannabis emanating from within the vehicle. The officer subsequently searched the
vehicle and its six occupants. A rear seat passenger identified as Robert Chatman-Jones,
12/25/2000 of 334 24th Ave. Bellwood, IL was found to be in possession of a loaded Smith &
Wesson .38 cal. revolver and 2mg of Xanax bars.
Chatman-Jones was charged with one Felony Count Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and
one Felony Count Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked at the Oak Brook
Police Department and transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing.

it is the government's burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
