Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault Investigation
On September 9, 2019, at approximately 11:48 AM, Oak Brook officers responded to HYATT
House, located at 210 W. 22nd Street, for a reported aggravated criminal sexual assault that had
just occurred. Upon the arrival of officers, it was learned that the suspect may still be in the
area and armed with a handgun. An extensive room by room search of the hotel was
conducted. The suspect, who is reported to be a male black, 38 years of age and believed to be
a relative of a hotel guest at the time.
The victim, a 20 year old employee of the hotel, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital by Oak Brook
Fire Department Paramedics for treatment. Seven surrounding police agencies assisted, along
with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department evidence technicians.
Oak Brook Police Department investigators with assistance from Chicago Police located the
suspect in Chicago at approximately 4:00 PM and is being transported back to Oak Brook for
further investigation. Identification is being withheld at this time.
