PD Renovation Bid Notice Bid Notice Sealed bids will be received for the Village of Oak Brook Police Detention Zone Renovation & Addition project until 10:00 am., prevailing time, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, County of DuPage, State of Illinois, 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook Illinois, 60523. All bids received after said date and time shall not be considered and returned unopened. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished in the Bidding Documents. The project will be bid as separate trade contracts, which are as follows: BP #2A – Surveying BP #2B – Select Demolition BP #3 – Cast-in-Place Concrete BP #4 – Masonry BP #5 – Structural Steel BP #6A – General Trades BP #7 – Roofing BP #8 – Glass & Glazing BP #9B – Painting BP #22 – Plumbing BP #23 – HVAC BP #26 – Electrical BP #31 – Building Excavation BP #32B – Landscaping BP #33 – Site Utilities Each Bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Bidding and Contract Documents. Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope marked “Village of Oak Brook - Police Detention Zone Renovation and Addition, Village of Oak Brook Butler Government Center – Bid Package #__” on the outside and addressed to: Rania Serences, Village of Oak Brook, 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook IL, 60523. Bids will be opened publicly and the contents announced at the specified closing time. Bids may be held by the Village of Oak Brook for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the contracts. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to Village of Oak Brook equal to 10% of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder. The Village of Oak Brook reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding procedures and to award the contracts in a manner serving the interest of the Village. Additionally, they reserve the right to amend the bid documents, including the plans and specification, Scope of Work Notes and Supplemental Conditions, at any time prior to the bid opening, with reasonable notice to the bid package holders. This project is subject to the State of Illinois Prevailing Wage requirements for DuPage County, IL, and as such the provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act shall be complied with in all applicable work to be performed at the Village of Oak Brook Butler Government Center (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.). Bidding documents which include Construction Manager’s Scope of Work Notes, Architects Project Manual and Plans will be available after 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2017. A pre -bid meeting will be held at the Village of Oak Brook Butler Government Center, 1200 Oak Brook Road, in the SE Dean Board Room, Oak Brook, IL 60523, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 10:00 am. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged as bidders will be responsible for all existing conditions.
