The Contractor/Bidder shall acknowledge in writing on his bid proposal form the receipt of this Addendum.This Addendum shall be part of the Specifications and Drawings for this project and shall be part of theactual contract document to complete the work. When the Architect issues an Addendum, it is the Bidder’sresponsibility to copy and insert it into the bid documents they have obtained from the Architect or Owner.
There are four (4) items in this Addendum.
ITEM NO. 1: PROJECT MANUAL, CLARIFICATION:
The General Contractor will be responsible to apply for all required permits. This includes a permitfrom the Village of Oak Brook. However, the Village of Oak Brook will waive their normal andcustomary permit fees.
ITEM NO. 2:PROJECT MANUAL, SECTION 01 23 00, ALTERNATES:
1. Clarification: Alternate No. 1 shall include costs to provide and install new carpet. Thedemolition of the existing flooring and base shall be part of the base bid work. 2. Delete Alternate No. 2 and Alternate No. 3.
ITEM NO. 3:DRAWINGS, SHEET A1.1, CLARIFICATION:
At 1/A1.1, the 6'-0" dimension in the corner is indicating a desk area. Aldd notes 6 and 10 at thatlocation and reference detail 11/A2.1.
ITEM NO. 4:DRAWINGS, SHEET A2.1, CLARIFICATION:
Delete note 7 under ‘Casework Notes’ All new walls shall receive 8 inch stained wood base asshown on detail 3/A2.1. Also, the toe kick space below all new cabinetry shall receive new 4 inchstained wood base. All existing brick walls will not receive base, so the new carpet must be cut tightto them.
