ADDENDUM # 1
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
2800 Meyers Road Building Demolition and Site Clearance
Questions concerning this Addendum #1 should be addressed to Bill Hudson, Building

This addendum #1 is meant to revise the Bid Package that was issued on August 20,
2019.
1. The receipt for sealed bids has been extended. Sealed bids will be received by
Rania Serences, Senior Purchasing Assistant, Village of Oak Brook, 1200 Oak
Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523 until 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 10,
2019, prevailing time, and publicly opened in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room at
that time. No bids will be accepted after this time and date. Bids received after this
date and time will be returned to the sender unopened.
2. A bid bond is not required for this project.
3. The Village presumes that Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) are present. The
Village is conducting an Asbestos Survey, which will be sent to vendors and posted
on the website when complete.
4. The Village presumes that there is a well on site. Location is currently unknown.
The vendor must locate, seal, and abandon the well per DuPage County Health
Department regulations. The Village will reimburse the vendor for any DuPage
County permit fees.
5. At this time, there are no storm sewer structures known to be on the premises.
Should they be discovered, contact James Patterson P. E., Village Engineer, for
direction regarding this issue. A change order must be approved by the Village
prior to commencement of any work on this matter.
6. Site restoration for all disturbed areas will include:
a. 6 inches of topsoil,
b. Seed mixture per Appendix A of the bid package, and
c. Proper erosion control blanket coverage.
7. Section 1.3 Village of Oak Brookâs Responsibilities is revised as follows:
Prior to commencement of work:
a. The Village of Oak Brook will notify owners of the adjacent properties of the
demolition and site clearance at 2800 Meyers Road.
All other provisions contained in the August Bid Package remain the same.
