RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, PHIL CUEVAS has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the
Village of Oak Brook in his capacity as Village Trustee from May, 2017 through May, 2021;and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service PHIL CUEVAS
has given unselfishly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly thereby to the
advancement and good of the Village and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, PHIL CUEVAS, as Trustee Liaison, worked as a tirelessly to advance the
Economic Development of the Village of Oak Brook and was also a contributor to encouraging
revitalization through his work as Liaison to the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce. As Liaison
to the Sports Core Advisory Committee at its inception he was instrumental in setting the stage for the
improvements and beautification being appreciated today; and
WHEREAS, as Trustee Liaison to the Fire Departments, PHIL CUEVAS was effective in
determining the best strategies to enhance that department; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such
faithful service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
Now,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook that the said, PHIL CUEVAS, be and is hereby commended for his loyal
service to the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to the said PHIL CUEVAS for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the
said PHIL CUEVAS and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this I 1 th day of May, 2021.
