K BUTLER GOVERNMENT CENTER 1200 OAK BROOK ROAD OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS 630-368-5000 AGENDA ITEM Regular Board of Trustees Meeting of March 23, 2021 SUBJECT: MFT Transfer of Funds FROM: Doug Patchin, Director of Public Works PO BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: MFT Funds Transfer$185,000 into Roadway Improvements, Account 461-90700 RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board approve Resolution R-1939,a Resolution to approve the transfer of funds in the amount of One Hundred Eighty Five Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($185,000.00) of Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds for the 16a' Street Roadway Improvement Project. Background/History: In November 2019, the Village Board awarded a contract to K-5 Construction Corporation, for the 16th Street Resurfacing Project, on 100 Street between Spring Road and Route 83. Due to the time of year, (the winter months) IDOT wouldn't issue a permit for work in their Right of Way at the intersection of 16a' Street and Route 83. This portion of the project would need to be bid out in the spring of 2020. Due to COVID-19 and the Governor's "shelter in place" order issued in March, all State projects were placed on hold, this included bidding projects through the State. The project was bid out in September 2020 and the work was completed in November 2020. This project was paid for out of Infrastructure Fund account 461-90700. For this project we are requesting a transfer of$185,000 from MFT to the Infrastructure Fund for roadway improvements. Recommendation: I recommend that the Village Board approve Resolution R-1939, a Resolution to approve the transfer of funds in the amount of One Hundred Eighty Five Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($185,000.00) of Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds for the 16th Street Roadway Improvement Project.
