SUBJECT: Award of Contract—Tennis Court Spring Maintenance 2022

BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: $16,500.00 is included in Summer Tennis,
Maintenance Services(813-72900)in the 2022 Budget
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board award a contract to C.R.
Peterson, Inc., Lake Zurich, Illinois, in the amount of$16,500.00, for the Tennis Court
Spring Maintenance 2022. Additionally,I move that the Village Board approve Resolution
R-1938.
Background/History:
Annually,the eight clay tennis courts require their surfaces to be restored and line markings
be replaced. C.R.Peterson,Inc.has historically been the vendor of choice for these services
due to their knowledge of the Village's courts and thorough understanding of our
expectations.Normally,the approval of these maintenance services would occur in the year
being rendered, however the vendor has informed staff that due to manufacturing and
shipping concerns in these post pandemic times, there will most likely be a delay in
completing our courts by the anticipated season opening in April 2022. As a solution to
this the vendor informed us that they currently have the inventory of materials on hand and
will hold those for the Village if given approval to do so sooner than later. Even though
award of the contract is in 2021, any and all expenditures will be applied to the 2022
budget.
Recommendation
That the Village Board award a contract to C.R. Peterson, Inc., Lake Zurich,Illinois,in the
amount of$16,500.00, for the Tennis Court Spring Maintenance 2022. Additionally, I
move that the Village Board approve Resolution R-1938.
