SUBJECT: Village Manager Employment Agreement

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to approve Resolution 2021-PL-
VMR-AG-R-1977, authorizing the Village President to sign and the Village
Clerk attest to an employment agreement between the Village of Oak Brook and
Greg E. Summers for the position of Village Manager.
Background/History:
The Village conducted a national search for a new village manager. Upon the conclusion
of that process the Village President selected Mr. Greg E.Summers for the position and
brought his candidacy forward for advice and consent of the Village Board. Mr. Summers
was appointed at the special meeting of the Village Board on November 29, 2021. After
appointment the Village Attorney was directed to finalize negotiations on the salary and
conditions of employment and memorialize into the agreement brought forward for
approval and attached to this memorandum.
Recommendation:
Staff requests the Village Board authorize the Village President to sign the final
employment agreement for the newly appointed Village Manager.
