SUBJECT: Surplus Property

BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: N/A
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board adopt the attached
ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus vehicles.
Background/History:
The attached ordinance authorizes the sale of vehicles from the Police Department(Units
307 and 316)that have reached the end of their useful lives and will be replaced with newer
models.
As part of the Vehicle Lease Agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc.,they will
sell the vehicles at auction. All proceeds from the auction will be given to the Village
minus a$400 administrative fee per vehicle. In addition,the equity gains on sold vehicles
are rolled into the new vehicle to lower the capital price.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Village Board adopt the attached ordinance authorizing the sale
of surplus vehicles.
