Dean Board Room of the Butler Government Center, 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, Illinois. Mr. Kruger was appointed by Village President Lalmalani with the unanimous Village Board approval at their Board meeting on October 25, 2011. “Jim Kruger will bring integrity, knowledge and strong leadership skills as he leads the Oak Brook Police Department”, said President Lalmalani. Mr. Kruger began his career with the Carpentersville Police Department working up from Patrol Officer to Police Commander. For the last 5 years, Mr. Kruger has served as Chief of Police of the Roselle Police Department as well as being Director of Campus Safety and Emergency Management at Judson University in Elgin since 2009. He served as Chief of Police for the Village of Winfield prior to 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Leadership as well as a Master of Science in Managerial Leadership and is active in a number of professional law enforcement organizations.
