Hub Group Breaks Ground on New Corporate
Headquarters with 500 Jobs Expected in 2013
Oak Brook, Illinois (August 2, 2012) – The Village of Oak Brook
Board was extremely excited to be at the site of what will soon
become the Hub Group’s corporate headquarters. The 130,000 square foot, four-story, planned LEED-Gold
certified office building broke ground on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 and is scheduled for completion in late
2013. The 17-acre site, located in the I-88 Tech Corridor at 2000 Clearwater Drive, will feature natural habitat
landscaping, ponds and walking trails.
“This marks a new chapter for Oak Brook, as the soon-to-be constructed building is the first large office
building constructed in Oak Brook since 2000,” said Oak Brook Village President Gopal Lalmalani. “Oak Brook
welcomes the Hub Group and 500+ employees, and invites everyone to experience Oak Brook’s wonderful,
shopping, dining and recreational activities.”
The Hub Group is a $2.8 billion asset-light freight transportation management company that provides
comprehensive intermodal, truck brokerage and logistics services. The company recently reported record

During the groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by Senator Ron Sandack and other dignitaries,
David P. Yeager, Chairman and CEO of Hub Group, and son of the company’s founder said, “This is an

positioning ourselves for the future with our new headquarters in Oak Brook. We were fortunate to have
landed in a great village that works tirelessly with businesses to grow and enhance the community.”
