20130618 PR-Taste of Oak Brook set for July 3, 2013, sponsored by McDonalds TASTE OF OAK BROOK SET FOR JULY 3, 2013 Oak Brook, Illinois, June 18, 2013 – The Village of Oak Brook will host the annual Taste of Oak Brook, sponsored by McDonald’s Corporation, followed by its award-winning fireworks display. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 3, from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. on the Village of Oak Brook Polo Grounds on 31st Street between Spring and York Roads. Beginning at 4:00 p.m. this memorable event will feature cuisine from some of the finest restaurants in Oak Brook and the surrounding area. The following restaurants are scheduled to serve tasty samples from their menus: Devon Seafood & Steak, Freshii, Gibsons Steak House, Kona Grill, Labriola Bakery Café, Pauls Pizza & Hot Dog, Inc., Pinstripes, Shree, Tuscany and Real Urban Barbeque. Live music featuring Vito Zatto (Vegas-style Singer/Entertainer) from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m., Gone to Paradise 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., followed by DJ X, in time for the fireworks event. Also starting at 4:00 p.m. the Taste will have a variety of kids’ activities, including a petting zoo, balloon artists and face painters. Stilt walkers will appear throughout the day to add to the festivities. The Oak Brook Park District will be sponsoring an inflatable “bounce jump” from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. New this year beginning at 5:00 p.m., McDonald’s® will be featuring their refreshing McCafé® Cherry Berry Chillers, free while supply lasts. Ronald McDonald is scheduled to make a couple of appearances as well. “We encourage everyone to come early and enjoy the food, musical entertainment, and fun activities while visiting with friends and neighbors.
