AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AMENDMENTS AND TRANSFERS
AMONG BUDGET LINE ITEMS THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, the Village's 2022 Budget contains authorization for an Assistant Golf Course
Superintendent and a Full-Time Planning Technician; and
WHEREAS, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and a Full-Time Planning Technician
position are presently vacant and have been so for an extended period of time; and
WHEREAS, the Village has identified alternate ways to deliver these services and no longer has a
need to fund these positions as contemplated in the 2022 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Village has identified that the funding associated with the aforementioned funding
is better allocated to a formalized succession and redundancy plan through the funding of an Assistant
Village Manager position; and
WHEREAS, the Village's FY 2021 and 2022 Salary Plan already contains the positon of Assistant
Village Manager within Pay Grade 39; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees hereby elect to de-authorize Assistant
Golf Course Superintendent and a Full-Time Planning Technician positions in the Village's 2022 Budget in
favor of funding the Assistant Village Manager position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS that the following
amendment is hereby authorized:
Section 1: The recitals above are hereby incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2: The General Fund budget is amended by adjusting the amounts in the following
accounts:
