SURESH REDDY EDWARD TIESENGA ASIF YUSUF Village Board Published in pamphlet form by authority of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook on this the 12th day of April, 2022 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-B&T-BGC-EVT&MTG-R-2015 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING RENTAL POLICIES FOR VILLAGE OWNED VENUES WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook is a municipal corporation with authority provided for and granted pursuant to the Illinois Municipal Code to exercise certain powers and perform certain functions pertaining to its local government and affairs; WHEREAS, pursuant to Illinois Statute, the Village of Oak Brook (hereinafter referred to as "Village") is authorized to own and acquire property; WHEREAS, the Village owns and operates various venues w the corporate boundaries of the Village; WHEREAS, the Village allows members of the public to use these Village-owned venues; WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village desire to adopt policies governing the use of the Village owned and operated venues; WHEREAS, the purpose of these policies is to create consistent guidelines for public use of the Village's venues; and WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook Corporate Authorities are of the opinion that it is in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to adopt a policy pertaining to the use of Village owned venues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois as follows: Section One — Recitals The Corporate Authorities hereby find that all of the recitals hereinbefore stated as contained in the preamble to this resolution are full, true and correct and do hereby, by reference, incorporate and make them part of this resolution as legislative findings. Section Two —Adoption of Policy The Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook hereby adopt the Rental Policies attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A. Section Three— Codification The title, chapter(s) and section(s) adopted by this resolution shall be numbered and placed in an appropriate title, chapter(s), and sections(s) sections when and during the codification of the Oak Brook Municipal Code if necessary. 2 Section Four—Effective Date This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law; inclusive of the cancellation of any future events already booked in conflict with the provisions herein. Section Five - Publication This resolution shall be published in book or pamphlet form as provided by the Illinois Municipal Code. Section Six—Conflict Clause All resolutions, parts of resolutions or board actions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section Seven — Saving Clause If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this resolution is declared by a court of law to be invalid or unconstitutional, the invalidity or unconstitutionality thereof shall not affect the validity of any other provisions of this resolution, which are hereby declared to be separable. Section Eight—Recording This resolution shall be entered into the minutes and upon the journals of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook. PASSED THIS 12th day of April, 2022.
