SUBJECT: Intergovernmental Agreement By and Between the Village Of Oak Brook
and DuPage County Regarding Mowing Along County Roads

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board approve a four (4)
year Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the Village of Oak Brook and
DuPage County Regarding Mowing Along County Roads and approve Resolution
R-2012.
Background/History: In the past, County roads and right of way grassed areas were
mowed by the County. This process was on their schedule and on a far less basis than
Village areas. To correct this, a one-year intergovernmental agreement was initiated
in 2018. The agreement identified areas requiring more frequent mowings and in line
with other adjacent Village properties. The County also agreed to reimburse the Village to
cover its contractual expenses. Due to the success of that agreement a second
three-year agreement was approved, which expired in November 30, 2021. That said,
both Village and County staff are presenting a four-year agreement to their
respective Boards for approve.

Recommendation
I move that the Village Board approve this four (4) year Intergovernmental Agreement
(IGA)between the County of DuPage and the Village of Oak Brook for the Mowing along
County Roads and Rights of Way and approve Resolution R-I the Village Board approve
a four-year Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the Village of Oak Brook and
DuPage County Regarding Mowing Along County Roads and approve Resolution R-2012.
