Village of Oak Brook Addresses the Inventory Discrepancies and the Head Golf
Professional Resignation with a Commitment of Transparency During the
Active Investigation
On August 14, 2023, experienced staff of the Village of Oak Brook conducted a planned and scheduled inventory of
the Oak Brook Golf Club Pro Shop. Within one hour of the completion of the audit, the Village of Oak Brookâs Head
Golf Professional contacted the Village Manager and resigned unexpectedly. A review of the audit results has
revealed that significant discrepancies exist between reported sales and inventory versus actual inventory on hand.
The Village takes this matter very seriously and an internal investigation to determine the extent of the issue, identify
the cause of the discrepancies, and rectify the situation has been launched.
The Village of Oak Brook understands that rumors and misinformation can spread quickly and recognizes the
importance of transparency during this time. We are committed to keeping the citizens of Oak Brook informed about
the ongoing investigation. To ensure accurate information is being disseminated to the citizens of Oak Brook, we
are actively working to curb disinformation by providing timely updates through official channels. We ask for
patience and understanding as the active investigation is still in the initial stages.
