RESOLUTION NO. R 262
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A FORMAL POLICY STATEMENT
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LOSS PREVENTION PROGRAM
BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AS A MEMBER OF THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS the Village of Oak Brook considers its residents and em-
ployees as its most important asset; and
WHEREAS their health, safety and welfare is the utmost considera-
tion in all assignments; and
WHEREAS an effective loss prevention program is an integral part of
management procedures designed to fully utilize municipal
capital and personnel; and
WHEREAS the Village of Oak Brook, as a member municiplaity of the
Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency considers the
development of a loss prevention program as beneficial to
the Village and to its membership in said agency;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, that the Village of Oak Brook, through its Inter-
governmental Risk Management Agency Representative, will
utilize its best efforts to develop, implement and adminis-
ster a comprehensive loss prevention program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village utilize its best efforts to
encourage its employees to adopt the concept that safety is
an integral part of employee performance and that safety
adherence is considered an important measure of employee
performance evaluation.
