A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEMOLITION
OR REPAIR.OF A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE

WHEREAS, Section 11-31-1 of the Illinois Municipal Code,
Chapter 24, of the Illinois Revised S,atntes, specifically authorizes
the corporate authorities to demolicl or repair dangerous and un-
safe buildings; and
WHEREAS, :the Oak Brook Building In:.pector has determined
by inspection of the premises at 3308 Midwest Road that the residence
building thereon is in a dangerous and unsafe condition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF, THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows:
Sectiol 1: The President and Board of Trustees finds and
hereby declares that the residence building on the following described
premises, to wit:
The East five chains of the North six chains of the
East half of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest:
fractional quarter of Section '4, Township:39 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in
DuPage County, Illinois,
Permanent Parcel No 06-34-101-004
and commonly known as 3308 Midwest Road, Oak .Brook,' Illinois,' is in
a dangerous and unsafe condition and that in order to protect and pre-
serve the public health, safety and..welfare said building must be re-
paired or demolished.
Section 2: That the Vi11ag.;",Manager be and is hereby authori i
zed and directed to give written notice by mail to the owner:or owners
of record of said building, including any lien holder's,",in the event
the owner or owners of record, including the lien holders of record,
fail to put said building; in a safe condition or to demolish :it,. then
to proceed in,the Circuit Court of DuPage County for an Order permitting
the Village of Oak-;Brook to repair,,or demolish the building and to
place a lien on the premises fei the'costs of the Village ;therefor.
